Darius Merk

Darius Merk has a diverse work experience with a range of roles in different industries. Darius currently works as a Customer Success Manager at Flybotix, where they are responsible for flight demonstrations, training, and providing support to clients. Prior to this, they held the position of Customer Success Lead at the same company.

Darius also has experience in the aviation industry, having obtained a Private Pilot License (A) while working at Air Club de Yverdon-les-Bains. Darius has gained 230 hours of flight time on Single Engine Piston aircraft and acquired extensions in Retractable Landing Gear, Variable Pitch Propeller, and Tail-wheel.

In terms of education, Darius completed a PHD in Physics from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). During their doctoral studies, they focused on the transfer of graphene under ultra-high vacuum, enabling the development of new 2D-heterostructures for the semi-conductor industry or nano-scale high-density magnetic systems.

In their role as Vice President of Model United Nations EPFL, Darius participated as a delegate in conferences representing various countries. Darius later became the vice-president of the association, where they gained experience in managing a team alongside the President.

Darius Merk completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) in the years 2011 to 2014. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the same institution from 2014 to 2016.
