Kent Jacobs

Kent is not only an aviation industry veteran of twenty years, but also one of FLYHT’s formative employees. Kent holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Calgary and is also a commercial pilot flying charters for several years. Early on in FLYHT’s history, Kent was instrumental in the design and commercialization of FLYHT’s launch products, the AFIRS 220 and UpTime. Kent has been invited to participate in several influential industry working groups for missing aircraft including AF477 and MH370, culminating in working with ICAO on the Global Aeronautical Distress Safety System (GADSS). During Kent’s tenure at FLYHT he has held impactful leadership roles within product development as a Technical Fellow and was key in FLYHT’s recent implementation of Agile methodology. Kent is excited and proud to elevate his leadership role to serve as President.
