Samantha Melendrez is a dedicated clinic coordinator for the Flying Samaritans at UCLA, focusing on humanitarian aid in Mexico. Simultaneously, Samantha serves as a public health intern, raising awareness about diabetes through educational initiatives. As an undergraduate student researcher in the Urology Department at the David Geffen School of Medicine, Samantha contributes to projects aimed at improving health outcomes for low-income prostate cancer patients. Additionally, Samantha is involved in mentoring programs that guide under-resourced youth in Santa Ana, CA, promoting STEAM education. With experience as a medical scribe in an emergency department and involvement in health education outreach, Samantha continues to enhance communication and teamwork skills through various roles, including as a brand representative for Hollister Co.
