Ahmet Baştuğ has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ahmet is currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer at FLYR Labs since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant at İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi from November 2019 to November 2021, where they focused on developing a new neural network layer for Time Domain Synchronous OFDM (TDS-OFDM) systems. Ahmet also created a neural network using Keras convolutional layers for de-noising received signals in reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) environment. Before their research assistant role, Ahmet worked as a DevOps Engineer at CRYPTTECH - Cyber Security Intelligence from June 2018 to August 2018. There, they created a custom Ubuntu 16.04 ISO for the company's products and automated all OS installation and post installation processes. Prior to that, they were a Back-End Developer at Ahtapot Apps from January 2018 to June 2018. In this role, they developed RESTful API requests on the back end of a social media application, using the Phoenix Web Framework for test-driven development. Ahmet also created PostgreSQL queries, Redis requests, and implemented the necessary logic.

Ahmet Baştuğ obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, where they studied from 2014 to 2019. In addition to their degree, they also obtained a certification as a Professional Data Engineer from Google Cloud in August 2022.
