Alexander Gruber

Alexander Gruber is a skilled financial services professional with extensive experience in macroprudential policy and banking regulation. Since May 2016, Alexander has held multiple positions at FMA Finanzmarktaufsicht Österreich, currently serving as Team Lead for Executive Board Affairs and Public Relations. Prior to this, Alexander worked as an Economist at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance from November 2011 to April 2016, representing Austria in EU financial markets regulation discussions and advising on monetary economics. A brief secondment to the European Commission allowed for contributions to the Cabinet of Commissioner Jonathan Hill. Alexander's early career included trainee and intern roles in various organizations, focusing on economic advisory and research. Alexander holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Vienna, complemented by studies at Universitat d'Alacant.
