Barry Lanesman

Barry Lanesman is an accomplished executive in the dental and financial sectors, currently serving as the Executive Director at FMC - Connecting Dentistry since April 2025. Prior to this role, Lanesman held the position of CEO at Dentex Healthcare Group from April 2017 to April 2025. With a strong background in finance, Lanesman was a Senior Consultant at Investec from September 2015 to August 2016 and served as CEO at BOQ Specialist from August 2014 to October 2015 following BOQ's acquisition of Investec Bank Australia Limited. Earlier career milestones include roles as Head of Private Banking at Investec Australia Limited from 2007 to 2014 and co-founder of Experien Medical Finance from August 2004 to October 2007. Lanesman co-founded Medfin, where Lanesman served as CEO from April 1990 to June 2004. Educational credentials include an MBA from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of the Witwatersrand.
