Shane Barry

Shane Barry has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Shane started their career as a Junior Accountant at TK Maxx in 1997 and later worked as an Assistant Capital Reporting Accountant at NTL in 2000.

In 2001, Shane joined T-Mobile as a Finance Analyst, where they were responsible for delivering monthly management accounts and budgets. Shane later became the Finance Manager for Strategic Partners, leading the preparation of management accounts and budget for a £25 million EBITDA business. During this time, they also played a crucial role in contract negotiations and legal matters.

From 2004 to 2008, Shane worked as a Pricing Manager at Virgin Mobile and then as a Senior Commercial Manager at T-Mobile, where they were responsible for setting up a new team to develop and deliver the company's wholesale strategy. Shane successfully implemented innovative pricing models that resulted in significant EBITDA growth and market share expansion.

In 2008, Shane joined Diageo as a Commercial Finance Manager in the Take Home Trade division. Shane later progressed to roles such as Commercial Manager, Commercial Sales Manager, and Head of Key Accounts, Reserve & Dublin City. In these roles, Shane managed large teams, developed and implemented sales strategies, and achieved impressive sales growth and market share gains.

Currently, Shane is working as a Commercial Finance Director at FMI Ireland, a role they started in January 2022.

Shane Barry attended CBS Dungarvan for an unknown period of time. Shane later pursued a degree in Chartered Management Accountant from Munster Technological University.
