Sonia Aoula

Sonia Aoula is a Project Finance Associate at FMO - Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, specializing in energy renewable project finance in emerging markets, particularly in West Africa and the MENA region. Since November 2020, Sonia has focused on deal origination and structuring, notable projects include the Benban Green Bond in Egypt and a solar storage project in Senegal. Prior experience includes roles as an Analyst at CrossBoundary, a Financial Analyst at Meridiam, and participation in various joint ventures related to airport management in Madagascar. Additionally, Sonia co-founded The EntreprenTheir Tour to promote female entrepreneurship and has held finance-related internships at Natixis, Coface, and the French Embassy in Peru. Sonia holds a Corporate Finance degree from Audencia and has further education from IFP School.
