Yusuf Vohra has accumulated diverse experience in the field of chemistry over the years. Starting as a Jr. Scientific Officer at Alembic in 2001, they then moved on to Dr. Reddy's Laboratories as a Senior Research Chemist in 2003. Following this, they continued to progress their career at The University of Georgia, where they completed their PhD in Chemistry under the guidance of Professor Geert-Jan Boons. Subsequently, they served as a Research Scholar at the university. Yusuf then transitioned to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center as a Postdoctoral Researcher, focusing on the synthesis of glycopeptide immunogens for HIV-vaccine development. Moving forward, their career led him to GlycoMimetics, where they held roles as Research Scientist II and III before becoming a Principal Scientist. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Scientist in Exploratory Chemistry at FogPharma. Throughout their journey, Yusuf has demonstrated expertise in research, synthesis, and development within the chemistry domain.
Yusuf Vohra completed a B.S. in Chemistry at Sardar Patel University from 1996 to 1999. Yusuf then pursued an M.S. in Organic Chemistry at the same university from 1999 to 2001. Finally, they obtained a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from The University of Georgia from 2005 to 2010.
