Arlesia McGowan

A small town girl from Sachse, TX, but a city girl at heart, Arlesia McGowan (she/her) holds her B.A in Music and Biology from Harvard University and M.A. in Performance Studies from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She started her career in public relations at Momentum Communications, focusing on philanthropy and social media, and transitioned to R. Couri Hay Creative PR, where she was able to demonstrate her love for all things lifestyle, arts, philanthropy, influencer, and event planning. Arlesia is a huge advocate for increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the media space and creating more opportunities for minorities in the arts. She runs her budding passion project, ClassiX Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a classical afro-centric educational experience for young Black artists.
