Mary Martin has had a diverse range of work experiences in marketing, communications, and nonprofit sectors. Mary started their career as a Marketing Manager at PPI Construction Management, where they managed construction management proposals and presentations for clients. Mary also handled advertising design and website content management.

After their role at PPI, Mary became a Board Member at the Women's Resource & Medical Center and later joined NCCER as a Marketing Manager. At NCCER, they oversaw print and digital advertising, managed trade show exhibitions, ran social media campaigns, and developed websites.

Mary then transitioned to Touch A Life as a Communications Manager, where they led social media advocacy efforts and managed marketing, content, and brand strategy. Mary also served as a Board Member at the Women's Non-Profit Alliance during this time.

Following their role at Touch A Life, they joined Unite Life as a Marketing & Media Manager, responsible for marketing and media operations. Mary then founded Lift Communications, providing social media management, communications consulting, and design services to small and medium-sized nonprofits.

Mary also took on the role of Managing Editor at Dallas Doing Good, where they contributed to website creation, developed editorial guidelines, managed social media, and oversaw content creation with a team of volunteers.

Most recently, Mary has been working at 1build (YC W20) as a Content Marketing Manager. In this role, they focused on customer-facing content, developing articles for organic SEO growth, creating social media posts, and copy for marketing email nurture tracks and landing pages.

Starting in 2022, Mary will transition to Foley as a Marketing Program Manager, utilizing their expertise in content strategy and marketing management.

Throughout their career, Mary has consistently demonstrated their strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and ability to manage teams and projects effectively. Mary has a proven track record of delivering impactful results in various industries and nonprofit organizations.

Mary Martin attended Southeastern University from 2003 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism/Public Relations.
