Sterre van der Hee

Sterre van der Hee is a freelance journalist specializing in culture, currently contributing to NRC since November 2021 and serving as deputy editor and journalist at Folia since July 2017, focusing on independent journalism within the academic community of the University of Amsterdam. Previous experience includes teaching as a guest lecturer at the University of Amsterdam, freelance journalism at Trouw, and authorship for Educatieve Uitgeverij Delubas. Sterre's early career features roles at NRC, including as a news and media editor, and investigative journalist for a project on Cold War nuclear shelters. Education includes a Master of Arts in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from the University of Amsterdam, complemented by a TEFL certification.
