Ries Cheung

Ries Cheung's work experience begins with their current role as a Software Engineer at Foliolens. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Michigan on projects related to personalized climate change research and real-time driving simulation. They also gained experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Suri & Huacaya LLC, where they designed and personalized websites, launched an e-commerce store, and handled backend services. Ries was also a Computer Vision Engineer for the Michigan Mars Rover Student Project Team, focusing on compatibility and virtual machines. They started their career as a Computer Vision Developer at AI Academy, where they worked on animal detection applications and performed routine site audits. Additionally, Ries has participated in military training camps and served as a group leader for logistic and team management.

Ries Cheung pursued their educational journey in a systematic manner. Starting in 2018, they attended Truro School, where they completed their A-Levels in the fields of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Psychology in the years 2018 to 2020. Following this, Ries proceeded to Queen's University from 2020 to 2021, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Computer Science. Currently, Ries is attending the University of Michigan, where they are expected to earn a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science by 2024.
