Robert Sobel

Vice President Research & Innovation at McCormick FONA

Robert Sobel currently serves as the Vice President of Research & Innovation at FONA International, a position held since May 2004, where responsibilities encompass managing a research group focused on new innovation developments and leading Flavor University. Prior to this role, Robert was a Research Assistant at Northern Illinois University from August 2000 to May 2004, developing electronic nose technology for the food and flavor industry, and completing a thesis on flavor analysis through advanced sensor technology. Additionally, Robert taught Chemistry and Physics at Bartlett High School from August 1998 to May 2000. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Aurora University.
