Ryan Shim

Ryan Shim has over 10 years of work experience. In 2009, they started as a Cashier at Ice Cloud Yogurt Store, where they were responsible for managing that all yogurt equipment and food materials were washed and put away neatly, achieving in bringing the best customer service everyday by always putting the customer first, and organizing and filing the daily income the yogurt store produced on a given day. In 2013, they worked as a Student Intern at Sixth College Residential Life. In 2015, they worked as a Software Engineer at Lovely (acquired by RentPath), where they were responsible for working on a stack that included Python, Django, PHP, PostgreSQL, MySQL, AngularJS, jQuery, and keeping the back-end up and running and the front-end nice and neat. In the same year, they were also a Web Development Teaching Assistant at General Assembly. Since 2016, they have been a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at Fond, Inc., where they are responsible for working on a stack that includes ReactJS, jQuery, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails, and keeping the front-end nice and neat. Fond helps organizations across industries strengthen their company cultures through an ongoing commitment to employee happiness.

Ryan Shim has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from UC San Diego, which they obtained in 2014. Ryan is currently enrolled in a Web Development program at General Assembly.
