Gabriele Battaglia

Gabriele Battaglia is an accomplished cellist with extensive experience in prominent orchestras and institutions. Currently serving as Violoncello di fila at Teatro Massimo di Palermo since January 2023, Gabriele previously held the same position at I Pomeriggi Musicali in 2022 and at Teatro Massimo di Palermo from January 2021 to January 2022. Additionally, Gabriele completed an internship as a cellist at Staatstheater Darmstadt between August 2019 and July 2020. Academically, Gabriele holds a Master's degree in Cello from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences (2017-2019) and a Bachelor's degree from the same institution (2016-2017), along with additional qualifications in chamber music and a conservatory diploma in cello from Conservatorio G. Verdi di Milano. Gabriele's educational background is complemented by a musical maturity from Liceo Musicale G. Verdi.
