Marianne van de Velde

Marianne van de Velde has extensive experience in the cultural sector, currently serving as a Strategic Policy Advisor and Senior Policy Advisor at Fonds Podiumkunsten since January 2018. Concurrently, Marianne holds positions as Chair of the Supervisory Board and member of the Advisory Board at Vers Beton since January 2014. Previous roles include a member of Themagroep Kunst en Cultuur for D66 Rotterdam from April 2013 to January 2018, and Chair of Stichting Gentle Daze Productions for a brief period in 2017, which aims to support innovative creators in their artistic and business development. Marianne has also been the Director of Music Matters Rotterdam from July 2013 to December 2017, contributing significantly to youth musical development in the city. Additional involvements include roles with Young Professionals Rotterdam, Full Moon Babylon, D66 Rotterdam's program committee, and the programming council of Concert- en congresgebouw de Doelen. Marianne's educational background includes an MA in Cultural Economics & Cultural Entrepreneurship and a degree in Cultural Studies, complemented by studies in Cultural Leadership.
