Daniel Hinse

Vice President, Investments Outside Quebec at Fonds de solidarité FTQ

Daniel Hinse has extensive work experience in various roles and companies.

From 1995 to 2005, they worked at Deloitte, starting as an Assistant Senior Auditor and progressing to become a Senior Advisor and Director in Financial Advisory Services. Daniel'sresponsibilities included statutory auditing, personal and corporate taxation.

In 2005, Hinse joined Fonds de solidarité FTQ, where they held several positions. Daniel initially served as a Director in Due Diligence, coordinating and overseeing due diligence reviews and monitoring the investment portfolio. From 2013 to 2017, they were the Senior Director of Entertainment and Consumer Goods. Later, they became the Vice President of Investments and then took on the role of Vice President of Investments outside Quebec.

In 2015, they became a Member of the Board of Directors at RICARDO Media Inc. and Société d'investissement Alt Canada. Starting in 2016, they also became President of the Audit Committee at Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec.

In 2018, Hinse joined the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA) as a Member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.

Daniel Hinse completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Comptabilité / Finance (Chartered accountant) from McGill University between 1991 and 1994. Daniel then pursued further studies in Évaluation d'entreprises and earned a degree in EEE / CBV from York University from 1999 to 2002. In 1997, Daniel Hinse obtained their CPA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). In 2014, they attended the Institute of Corporate Directors and obtained ICD.D / IAS.A degrees in Gouvernance d'entreprises.
