Nathalie Proteau has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Nathalie started their career as an intern at the Université de Montréal in 1996. Nathalie then worked as an Analyst at Sobeco Ernst & Young and later joined Mercer as a Principal. In 2012, Nathalie became the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Depositor Relations at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ). Following this, they worked at Fiera Capital Corporation as Vice President of Investment Strategy Communication and Advice. From 2017 to 2020, Nathalie held the position of Associate Partner & Head of Investment Strategy, Asset & Risk Management at Morneau Shepell. Currently, they are the Vice President of Asset allocation and external management at Fonds de solidarité FTQ.

Nathalie Proteau, FSA, FCIA, CFA, holds a BSc. with honors degree in Actuarial Mathematics from the Université de Montréal, which they obtained from 1993 to 1996. In addition to their academic achievements, they have also obtained certifications as a CFA from the CFA Institute, a Fellow (FICA) from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, and a Fellow (FSA) from the Society of Actuaries.
