Annelies Coene is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) since October 2017, focusing on concurrent imaging and targeting of magnetic nanoparticles for therapeutic and diagnostic applications. In addition, Annelies holds a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ghent University, where academic contributions extend from a PhD Student role in the Department of Electrical Energy, Systems and Automation (EESA) from September 2011. Previous experience includes two guest researcher positions at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in 2013 and 2015. Annelies earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Ghent University, following a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all completed between 2006 and 2017.
