Jolien Perneel

Jolien Perneel is an experienced researcher currently serving as an FWO PhD fellow at Research Foundation Flanders since November 2021 and as a PhD student in Rosa Rademakers' lab at VIB Center for Molecular Neurology since September 2020. Previous roles include a summer student position at Avantor, a research intern at the University of Antwerp focusing on Onchocerciasis-Associated Epilepsy, and several internships at VIB in molecular neurogenomics and neurogenetics. Jolien also worked as a private tutor for students aged 8-25 in various subjects and served as a laboratory assistant at AmSpec Group and Proviron. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Antwerp.
