Nele Pien is a highly qualified professional currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) since October 2022 and as a Communication Manager at GATE Advanced Therapies and Tissue Engineering since March 2021. Nele Pien holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from Université Laval (January 2018 - August 2022) and a PhD in Science: Chemistry from Ghent University (November 2016 - June 2022). Additionally, Nele Pien earned a Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Ghent University (2013 - 2016) and a Master of Science of Applied Engineering in Chemistry from HOGENT (2009 - 2013), complemented by language training at EF International Language Campuses (2008 - 2009).
