Sarah Raes is currently a PhD Researcher at Ghent University since October 2019, focusing on a project with RIZIV regarding the reform of the nomenclature. Additionally, Sarah serves as an OAP Council member, representing doctoral and post-doctoral researchers within the Department of Public Health and Primary Care. In November 2021, Sarah was awarded the prestigious FWO aspirant grant for a project on sustainable financing models for telemonitoring patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices. Sarah has also contributed as a guest speaker at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, delivering a lecture on the competitiveness of the Flemish biotech cluster, and as a Microeconomics of Competitiveness Network Affiliate at Harvard Business School, focusing on the same subject. Previous experience includes a strategy internship at DDB Brussels, where contributions were made to customer-centric strategies for major brands. Sarah holds various academic qualifications, including a recent certificate in Health Economics and Policy from The London School of Economics and Political Science, as well as multiple degrees in Business Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
