Brendan Coakley has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Brendan started their career at AOL as a Web Designer and Software Engineer, where they led the graphic and user interface design for the department. Brendan then moved on to Inova Health System as a Web Master and Graphic Designer, where they managed the company's public website and enhanced its dynamic look using various design tools. Brendan later joined FEMA as a Disaster Assistance Employee, where they worked on a team that responded to federal disasters and managed teams on the ground. At Strayer University, Brendan served as a Multimedia Designer and Content Manager, responsible for creating and managing various digital communication mediums and email campaigns. Most recently, they have been with the Food Allergy Research & Education organization, serving as the Assistant Director of Digital Marketing & Operations. In this role, they oversee the organization's digital properties, executes digital campaigns, and utilizes analytics to drive results.

Brendan Coakley attended George Mason University from 1996 to 1999, where they pursued a degree in Communication Graphics and Design Technologies with a specialization in Graphic Design.

FARE works on behalf of the 32 million Americans who have food allergies, including all those at risk for life-threatening anaphylaxis. This potentially deadly disease affects 1 in every 13 children in the United States – or roughly 2 in every classroom. FARE was formed in 2012 as the result of a merger between the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network and the Food Allergy Initiative.
