Lead For Behavioural Science at UNFAO

Cortney Price has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 1999, they worked as an Assistant Broadcast Producer at J. Walter Thompson. Cortney then served as an Editor and Translator at Tema Celeste (Gabrius Media) from April 2000 to October 2000. Cortney also worked as a Producer at Frame by Frame Italia from November 2000 to July 2003.

Following their freelance work as a Public Relations and Communication Advisor from August 2003 to August 2005, they joined FAO in 2005. At FAO, they held multiple roles, including Reporting Officer, Information Officer, and Communication Officer, from September 2005 to February 2012. From February 2012 to January 2013, they served as the Knowledge Manager for Climate Change, focusing on strategy development and training design. Cortney then worked as a Communication Manager from February 2013 to January 2014 and as a Communication Expert from January 2014 to May 2014. Cortney then became a Communication Advisor from June 2014 to February 2015.

After leaving FAO, Cortney worked as a Communication and Behavior Change Consultant at EPIC Risk from March 2015 onwards. In 2019, they returned to FAO as the Global Behaviour Change and Communication Coordinator for Antimicrobial Resistance. Currently, they hold the position of Lead for Behavioural Science at FAO, where they are focused on innovative ways to utilize behavioural science in agriculture and promote a more food-secure planet.

Cortney Price completed a Certificate in Change Management from the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) in 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Behavioural Science from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2017 to 2018. Their undergraduate education was at Yale University, where they earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from 1995 to 1999.
