Joe Gaudet

Joe Gaudet has a diverse work experience in software development and engineering. Joe started their career at Metso Automation as a Graphic Interface Designer in 2002. Joe then worked at Catalyst Realtime as a Software Developer and Interface Developer, where they were involved in reverse engineering legacy file formats. In 2006, they joined UEnd:Poverty as a Software Developer, contributing to the development of a web-based donation engine. Joe also worked with the UEnd:Poverty team as a Google Summer of Code Student in 2008. From 2008 to 2009, Joe worked at Wolftek Corporation as a Software Developer/Engineer in Training. Joe assisted in the design and implementation of systems for LIDAR Services International. In 2009, they founded Learndot and served as the CTO and Founder. Joe led software development and technology infrastructure decisions and designed and implemented Learndot's core technologies. From 2015 to 2016, Joe worked as a Senior Software Developer at Hootsuite Media Inc., delivering high-quality solutions and mentoring junior developers. Joe is currently working at Foodee as the Director of Software Development.

Joe Gaudet's education history begins in 2001 when they attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). From 2001 to 2003, they pursued a degree in Cinema Television Stage and Radio, focusing on Cinematography and Film/Video Production. Following this, Joe enrolled at the University of New Brunswick for their undergraduate studies. Joe attended the university from 2004 to 2008, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering. Later on, Joe Gaudet pursued further education at The University of British Columbia, where they obtained a Master's degree in Engineering (MEng) specializing in Computer Engineering from 2009 to 2011.
