Food for Climate League
Stephen Mattson is a skilled music educator and business development associate with a diverse background in band directing and music instruction. Currently serving as the High School Band Director at Cobb County School District, Stephen oversees a comprehensive program of nearly 300 students and leads multiple concert bands, jazz ensembles, and competitive marching bands. In addition to this role, Stephen is a Business Development Associate at the Food for Climate League, where strategic outreach and research contributions are made to promote climate-smart eating. Stephen has also held instructional roles with Phantom Regiment and various high school programs, emphasizing innovative teaching methods and visual direction. Holding an Honors Music Education degree from The Ohio State University and advanced coursework in Music at Indiana University Bloomington, Stephen maintains a strong academic foundation complemented by extensive hands-on experience in the field.

The Food for Climate League is working to identify the optimal communications tactics and avenues for engagement to catalyze a global movement toward climate-beneficial eating. Our goal is to create expertly-developed and tested narratives that celebrate delicious, healthy, and Instagram-worthy foods that are great for us and great for the planet, and that can be implemented by businesses, governments, and organizations around the world.
