Matthew Walker, MS, RDN, currently serves as a Community Dietitian at Food & Friends, where responsibilities include providing medically-tailored meals and nutrition counseling to clients with chronic diseases in the DMV area. Prior experience includes a role as a Clinical Dietitian at Northern Light Health Inland Hospital, delivering evidence-based nutrition care to patients. Additional positions held include Dietetic Intern with the Maine Department of Education, Nutrition Assistant at Spectrum Generations, Teaching Assistant at the University of Maine, Strength and Conditioning Head Attendant at Texas A&M University, Agricultural and Natural Resources Policy Intern for Congressman Bill Flores, and Student Athletic Trainer at Texas A&M University. Matthew holds a Master of Science in Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition Services from the University of Maine and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Texas A&M University.

Established in 1988, Food & Friends is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C. that provides nutritionally tailored, home-delivered meals to people facing a life-challenging health crisis. We believe that food heals and each year we prepare and deliver nearly 1 million meals across 5,300 square miles to our neighbors – at no charge. We help our clients feel better, connect them to their community and empower them to manage their illnesses. Over 8,500 volunteers touch more than 2,800 lives annually.
