Elaine Lunney has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. Elaine began their career as an Intern in the Credit Control Department at the Quinn Group in 2011. In 2012, they worked as an Intern at Eco Tyre Thread Solutions Ltd., where they assisted a mechanical engineer in order to gain insights into the planning and manufacturing processes. Elaine then took an industrial placement with Atkins Aerospace in 2012, where they worked on global aerospace projects. In 2014, they gained work experience at Molly Wind Ltd., shadowing an experienced site manager and gaining exposure to the development and installation of a wind farm. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Graduate Engineer at Semple & McKillop Consulting Engineers, where they were responsible for the modelling of mechanical building services. In 2017, they decided to take a planned sabbatical to explore and pursue an alternate career within their field. Finally, since 2018, they have been a Mechanical Design Engineer at FoodMarble.

Elaine Lunney obtained their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University Belfast between 2010 and 2015. Elaine also received A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics and Technology & Design from Mount Lourdes Grammar School, Enniskillen, Co.Fermanagh, N.I. between 2003 and 2010. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications from LinkedIn, Learning KeyShot in April 2018 and Sketching for Product Design and AEC in March 2018.
