Sean Murphy

Sean Murphy has over 15 years of work experience in the finance industry. Sean began their career in 2004 as a Fund Accountant at Northern Trust Corporation, where they assisted in the production of daily, weekly and monthly NAV, ensuring completion of specified tasks, performing NAV checklists, and performing cash, position and market value reconciliations between clients, brokers, and clients. In 2006, they moved to TUI as a Financial Accountant, where they provided accounting and regulatory guidance to internal customers and stakeholders on key accounting issues affecting the business, and collaborated with internal customers and stakeholders to develop and improve processes and systems for both financial and statutory reporting. In 2007, they became Financial Controller at IO Advertising Agency, Birth Digital, and Ocean PR. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as Regional Group Financial Accountant at Aura Leisure Centres and then Head of Group Finance Transformation at Pearl & Dean. In 2012, they were appointed Group Chief Financial Officer at Wide Eye Media. In 2016, they took on the role of Head of Finance UK and Ireland at STRONG ROOTS, where they were responsible for a series A funding round, EY vendor assist project, due diligence, ERP implementation, and Enterprise Ireland. Most recently, they have been working as Finance Director at FoodMarble since 2020, where they help to track digestion through breath analysis to measure which foods can be digested most successfully.

Sean Murphy began their education in 2000, when they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies from Technological University Dublin. Sean then went on to complete the ACCA Professional Exams in Accountancy from ACCA in 2004. Finally, they completed a Masters in Strategic Management from Technological University Dublin in 2011.
