Jeff started his career at Bell Laboratories as a Member Technical Staff. After receiving a Masters in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford through their One Year on Campus program he moved to the product development consultant industry, accumulating 23 patents in areas including mechanics, fluidics and electro-mechanics.

Gradually, Jeff moved from Principal Engineering positions to management, focusing on technical innovation, formal product development processes and quality management systems. He has held leadership positions and key technical roles at companies including Continuum, Human Factors Industrial Design, and IDEX Corporation providing him with a broad perspective on design processes, product technologies and business drivers. His management skills span both public and private companies including tenure as CEO of nAscent BioSciences where he and his team developed microfluidic tools for the drug discovery industry. nAscent was acquired by ThermoFisher in 2008.

For the last decade, Jeff has focused on the more formal side of product development processes. He has restructured engineering departments to be more reactive to client needs, led teams through ISO13485 implementation and recertification process, and authored multiple ISO product development procedures.
