Matthew Barnes

Matthew Barnes currently serves as President, Foot Locker International. In this role, Matthew is responsible for all stores, eCommerce and digital businesses across Europe, Asia and Australia and the licensed store presence in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Matthew is a highly accomplished global retail executive with three decades of leadership experience from across the United Kingdom, Europe, the U.S., China and Australia. He has a track record of guiding consumer-facing companies through periods of growth and transformation, including Aldi, where he began his career as an Area Manager. During his time at Aldi, he held a number of leadership roles, including serving as Group CEO & Member of the International (Executive) Board of Aldi Süd. Before joining Foot Locker, he held the role of UK CEO at Tesco.

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in law and politics from the University of Liverpool.
