Paul Walsh

Paul Walsh has a diverse background in sports science, with experience in various football clubs and organizations. Paul most recently served as the Head of Sport Science at Bolton Wanderers Football Club. Before that, they held similar positions at the Football Association of Ireland and Stoke City Football Club.

Prior to working in football, Walsh worked as a 1st Team Sport Scientist at Sunderland AFC and the Irish Football Association. Paul also gained experience at STATSports as a Sport Scientist.

Walsh's career began with a strength and conditioning internship at Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union. Paul also pursued a Bachelor's degree at the University of Limerick.

Paul Walsh earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Sports and Exercise from the University of Limerick in 2011. Paul then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Professional Practice (MProf) degree in Elite Performance from the University of Central Lancashire between 2019 and 2022.
