Lucila Ortiz

Lucila Ortiz is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in community organization, education, and policy advising. Currently serving as Director at H.E.F.A.S. at De Anza College since August 2014, and as Organizing Coordinator at WORKING PARTNERSHIPS USA since August 2016, Lucila has also been an Instructor at De Anza College since September 2013. Previously, Lucila held significant roles such as Organizing Director at Californians for Justice from August 2018 to August 2022, and Policy Advisor in the Office of Councilmember Raul Peralez from February 2015 to August 2016. Additional experience includes managing the Raul Peralez for City Council campaign and community organizing at SIREN. Lucila Ortiz holds a Master of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Spanish from San Jose State University.
