Zak Benson, CFE, has extensive experience in the field of financial investigation and education. Since August 2011, Zak has held various roles at IRS Criminal Investigation, advancing from Special Agent to Supervisory Special Agent and including positions such as SSA for Special Agent Basic Training and Assistant Special Agent in Charge (Acting). In addition to responsibilities in digital forensics, Zak has served as an adjunct instructor at Foothill-De Anza Community College District since September 2014, teaching courses in Fraud Examination, Federal Income Tax, Payroll & Business Tax, and Managerial Accounting. Previous professional experience includes roles with the Internal Revenue Service as an Internal Revenue Agent, Moss Adams as Tax Staff, and CBIZ MHM, LLC as a Forensic & Financial Services Intern. Zak holds a Master of Accountancy from the University of Idaho and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University - Idaho.
