Bob Ivry is the executive editor at Forbes. Prior to their current position, they worked as an investigative reporter and senior editor at Bloomberg News from October 2006 to February 2021. At Bloomberg, Bob mastered interview strategies to elicit actionable intelligence from cautious sources, monitored people and companies over the course of various lengths of time, analyzed data to determine possible illegalities or regulatory noncompliance by companies or individuals, and exploited their familiarity with the corporate culture to uncover tricks used to hide assets, launder money, fudge on financials, and other shady company practices. Bob is a four-time finalist for a Gerald Loeb award for financial reporting, and two-time winner.

Bob Ivry received their Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from the University of Iowa Writers Workshop. Bob also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University.
