Adelayda M. Funes

Adelayda M. Funes, CTP has extensive work experience in various roles within the banking and finance industry. Adelayda M. started their career as a Graduate Assistant at Mississippi State University in 2001 before moving on to Union Planters as a Senior Cash Management Assistant. At Union Planters, they were responsible for communicating and presenting Cash Management services to retail associates and ensuring billing accuracy. Adelayda M. then joined Regions Bank as an AVP, Treasury Management Consultant from 2004 to 2006. After that, they worked at Chevy Chase Bank as an AVP, Cash Management Sales Consultant from 2006 to 2010. At Chevy Chase Bank, they handled sales activities and provided cash management solutions to clients. In 2010, they briefly held the position of Executive Director at Camara Hondurena de la Construccion (CHICO), where they developed strategies and represented the chamber at public events. Adelayda M. also organized and coordinated information provided to the media. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at Capital One Bank as a VP, Treasury Management Consultant, focusing on strengthening relationships with government clients and offering creative solutions. Later, they joined PNC as a Vice President, Treasury Management in 2015. Currently, they are a Senior Vice President of Sales at Forbright Bank, a role they have held since January 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Vice President at Forbright Bank since April 2019. Additionally, they had a Vice President role at Congressional Bank from 2019 to 2023. Overall, Adelayda M. Adelayda M. Funes, CTP has a diverse education history with a focus on business and finance. Adelayda M. attended the National University of Honduras from 1993 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Following this, they pursued further education at the Mississippi State University - College of Business and Industry. From 2000 to 2001, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Business Administration. In 2001 to 2002, they enrolled in the same university to pursue a Master's degree in Finance.

In addition to their academic achievements, Adelayda M. Funes, CTP has obtained several certifications. Adelayda M. obtained a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification from the Association for Financial Professionals in July 2005. Adelayda M. also holds a Level I Yoga Instructor Certification from the Yoga Alliance, obtained in February 2019. Furthermore, they acquired another certification as a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) from the Association of Financial Professionals in June 2005.
