Franz E. Gruber

Advisory Board at Forcam

Franz E. Gruber is the founder of FORCAM and today works for the company as a strategic advisor and chairman of the advisory board. The graduate industrial engineer founded FORCAM GmbH together with Reinhold Krattenmacher in 2001. The aim of FORCAM, the “Pioneer of Industry 4.0” (FAZ), was from the very beginning to digitally network the production of manufacturing companies, to enable precise corporate planning on the top floor with the data from the shop floor and overall to increase the productivity and competitiveness of FORCAM customers. Before FORCAM was founded, Franz E. Gruber worked at SAP AG in the sales team of Dietmar Hopp, the current main shareholder of FORCAM. Franz E. Gruber studied Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen. After his studies he worked for IBM Germany as a consultant for “Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM). Franz E. Gruber is married and has three sons. In his free time he reads books on philosophy and plays the trumpet.
