Brian Zhang

Brian Zhang is an accomplished individual currently interning at the Ford Foundation in crisis management and social media while also serving as the inaugural 2024 Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholar of the Year at APIA Scholars. Elected as the Student Body Events Director for the Yale College Council, Brian leads initiatives such as global health campaigns and fundraisers. Additional roles include Freelance Writer for Business Insider, Science Script Writer at BrainPOP, and New York Times Scholar. Brian has also held editorial positions, including Arts and Entertainment Editor for the Yale Daily News and Opinion Intern at The Sacramento Bee. Education is being pursued at Yale University, where Brian studies Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, following a high school diploma from Stuyvesant High School.
