Darren Walker

Darren Walker is the current president of the Ford Foundation. Darren has held this position since January 2010. Prior to that, they were the vice president of education, creativity, and free expression from January 2010 to December 2013. Darren also served as the vice president of foundation initiatives from January 2001 to December 2010 at The Rockefeller Foundation. Additionally, Darren was the chief operating officer at Abyssinian Development Corporation from January 1994 to December 2001. Their professional journey began at Union Bank of Switzerland where they worked as an associate in the capital markets division from January 1988 to December 1994.

Darren Walker is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where they earned their Doctor of Law (J.D.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degrees.
