Subarna N. Mathes

Subarna N. Mathes is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy, evaluation, and impact assessment within prominent organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Strategy and Evaluation Officer at the Ford Foundation since July 2016, Subarna works collaboratively within the Office of Strategy and Learning to enhance evaluative thinking and foster a learning culture. Prior to this role, Subarna was a Learning and Impact Program Officer at the Open Society Foundations and a Senior Fellow at the Center for Evaluation Innovation, where research contributed to international advocacy evaluation. Subarna's experience also includes project management roles focused on international advocacy and network evaluation with Innovations for Scaling Impact (iScale) and consultancy projects evaluating disaster relief programs. Subarna holds a Master of Public Administration in Evaluation from the University of Washington, a Master of Arts in South Asian Studies from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
