Jiaqi Liang

Jiaqi Liang is a seasoned professional in electrical engineering, currently serving as the Sr Director of Electrical Hardware at Ford Motor Company since November 2023, focusing on the development of affordable power conversion systems. Before joining Ford, Jiaqi held the position of VP of Hardware Engineering at AMP from January 2021 until its acquisition by Ford, where responsibilities included collaborating with a global hardware team on advanced battery management systems and charging units. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Power Electronics/Battery/HV Systems at Virgin Hyperloop, overseeing the design and development of key systems for a pioneering hyperloop pod, and roles as a Senior Scientist and Power Electronics Scientist at ABB, specializing in high voltage converter technologies. Jiaqi's early career included an internship at John Deere Electronic Solutions, contributing to hybrid electric vehicle powertrain development. Education encompasses a PhD in Electric Power Engineering and a Master's in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, along with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University.
