Matt Jones

Matt Jones serves as the Executive Director of Global Technology Platforms at Ford Motor Company, leading cross-functional teams in digital software, electrification, automated systems, robotics, and sustainability since October 2021. With a robust background in technology and platform management, Jones previously held several executive roles, including at Wind River and Virgin Hyperloop, where responsibilities encompassed global engineering transformation and oversight of complex autonomous projects, respectively. Additionally, Jones has contributed to industry leadership through positions such as President and Chairman of the Connected Vehicle Systems Alliance and a member of the Board of Directors for The Linux Foundation. With a Master of Engineering degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, Jones brings extensive expertise in driving technological innovation within the automotive and mobility sectors.
