Melanie Fairfax

Melanie Fairfax serves as the Information Technology Contract Manager at Fordham University, a position held since September 2008, where responsibilities include assessing, negotiating, and executing a variety of IT contracts, as well as acting as a liaison between executive staff and supply chain partners. Previously, Melanie was the Executive Assistant to the Chief Technology Officer, managing daily operations, and served as Field Specialist Coordinator, overseeing staff hiring, orientation, and training. Additionally, from January 2010 to October 2021, Melanie held the position of Shop Steward at OPEIU Local 153, advising on collective bargaining agreements and developing leadership assessment surveys. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Adult Education and Human Resource Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Fordham University.
