Silas Avila Jr

Silas Avila Jr is an experienced journalist and editor with a focus on international reporting and public relations. Currently, Silas serves as the Associado at the United Nations Correspondent Association and has held the position of International Editor and United Nations Correspondent for Diário do Vale since June 2022. Notable contributions include coverage of the 78th United Nations General Assembly in 2023 and participation in events such as the 74th General Assembly in 2019. Silas has also worked with the U.S. Department of State and the Association of Foreign Press Correspondents in the United States. A diverse background includes roles in business development and advertising with extensive experience in strategic planning and partnership activation.
