Austin is a member of the investment team at Foresite Capital, focused on opportunities across healthcare technology and services. Austin also oversees Foresite’s impact investing framework, which includes quantifying and tracking the impact of Foresite investments on health outcomes.
Prior to Foresite, Austin spent four years at Oxeon Partners, where she worked with entrepreneurs and investors in the healthcare IT and services space to grow their businesses, through people, partnerships, and investments. Austin also developed and led Break into the Boardroom, a collaboration between Oxeon and Deerfield Management aimed at increasing diversity at the board level. Austin started her career in the global health space, working on health projects in Rwanda and Tanzania. She served as an Operations Fellow for Gardens for Health International, partnering with the Rwandan government to incorporate agriculture into the clinical treatment of chronic malnutrition. Austin recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a Master of Public Health and an MBA. While at Haas, Austin worked in Finance at Genentech. Austin graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College with an honors degree in international studies.
