Tania Munz

Tania Munz, PhD, is a distinguished leader in the field of history of science and humanities, currently serving as President & CEO of the Forest History Society since September 2023. Previously, Tania held the position of Chief Program Officer at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences from February 2020 to September 2023, overseeing the Academy's independent research center focused on socially relevant projects across various disciplines. Tania's prior roles include Vice President for Scholarly Programs at the National Humanities Center, where new initiatives for HBCU scholars were developed, and Vice President for Research and Scholarship at the Linda Hall Library, managing scholarly programs and collections. Tania's academic experience includes postdoctoral work at Northwestern University and a research scholar position at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. Tania earned a PhD from Princeton University, alongside an MA from the University of Minnesota and a BA from the University of Chicago.
