Carl Vogel

Carl Vogel is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Director of Communications for the Forest Preserves of Cook County since September 2018, overseeing a team responsible for various communication efforts including media relations and strategic initiatives. Prior to this role, Carl founded Vogel Editorial in March 2004, providing services in editorial strategy and content management until September 2018. Additional experience includes positions as Senior Account Executive at Valerie Denney Communications, Senior Editor at Working Woman magazine, Editor at City Limits, and Editor of The Neighborhood Works at the Center for Neighborhood Technology. Carl holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University, attained in 1988.
