Alastair MacLaren is a pathology scientist at Forest Research since December 2021 and also works in horticulture at ACM Garden Services since May 2011. With a background in IT project management at companies like HBOS and Agilent Technologies, Alastair pursued higher education achieving a Master of Science in Sustainable Plant Health from The University of Edinburgh and Scotland's Rural College in 2017, and a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture with Plantsmanship from University of Glasgow & RBGE in 2016. Prior to their IT career, Alastair worked as an Information Technology Support Analyst at Clydesdale Bank/NAG.
