Rhodri Jones

Rhodri Jones is an experienced events professional currently serving as the National Events Programme Manager at Forestry England since May 2023, overseeing the sustainable management of the nation's forests through various programs. Previously, Rhodri held several key roles at Southbank Centre from July 2013 to April 2023, including Senior Producer for music and site events, and Producer, where responsibilities encompassed project management for diverse festivals and major projects. Rhodri also worked as the Event Manager, handling large-scale multi-artform events, and played a crucial part in logistics and execution. Prior experience includes serving as Artists Manager at Hay Festival from November 2008 to June 2013, managing performers at Europe's largest literature and arts festival, and leading the establishment of international festivals in Kenya, India, Bangladesh, and the Maldives. As Director of Merthyr Rock Festival from June 2010 to November 2012, Rhodri was pivotal in developing the festival model and securing funding, earning acclaim for its lineup. Rhodri holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and American Studies from Keele University.
